We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Chief Cashier to oversee cash handling operations and ensure smooth financial transactions. In this role, you will supervise cashiers, manage cash flow, reconcile daily transactions, and uphold security procedures. Oversees the daily operations of the cashiering team, ensuring efficient transaction processing, compliance with cash-handling procedures, and a high standard of customer service. The role also involves managing petty cash, resolving issues, and supporting the Farmers Market’s financial operations

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

• Supervise and support the cashier team, ensuring smooth and efficient transactions.
• Train and guide cashiers on POS operations, cash handling, and customer service best practices.
• Monitor cash flow and reconcile daily transactions, ensuring accuracy in reports.
• Handle customer complaints or disputes related to billing or payment issues.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, security measures, and financial controls.
• Manage and oversee the use of petty cash for emergency market-related expenses.
• Coordinate with the finance team to report cash shortages, discrepancies, or operational issues.
• Assist with opening and closing procedures, ensuring all registers are balanced.
• Maintain a high standard of service and professionalism within the cashiering team.
