Civil design Engineer- 400Kv&132kv Transmission
Conduct engineering studies related to the structural field to provide clear and well-supported recommendations based on study results.
Prepare a clear and comprehensive Structural Scope of Work for transmission projects in line with the issued Project Parameter Report, ensuring full coverage of project requirements and avoiding ambiguity in tenders.
Jobs Description
- Review amendments and respond to technical queries from bidders during the tendering stage.
- Review technical offers and deviations, highlight clarifications, and finalize technical recommendation reports.
- Review and comment on design drawings, documents, materials, BIM models, and vendor submissions to ensure quality, compliance with specifications, qualification methodology, and scope of works.
- Finalize non-compliance notes and assist in vendor qualification and performance evaluation.
- Coordinate with internal and external authorities to ensure compliance with project specifications in substation and cable laying projects.
- Participate in technical, design, and progress meetings to resolve issues and ensure smooth project execution.
- Liaise with relevant departments to offer technical solutions and ensure compliance with project standards.
- Assist in revising technical specifications for future turnkey projects, incorporating optimizations, standardizations, and lessons learned from previous projects.
- Support material conformity assessments and approvals to ensure compliance with project specifications and international standards.
- Conduct site visits and quality audits to verify compliance with approvals and gather insights for future improvements.
Qualification
- Problem solving skills to propose technical solutions
- Knowledge in International Standards (IEEE, IEC, BS)
- Proficiency in technical report writing
- Preferred related experience in engineering design software’s (i.e. BIM, Revit)
- Minimum 7 years experience for Diploma holder
