We are seeking a skilled Electrical Commissioning Engineer to lead and perform commissioning activities for 400kV transmission line and substation systems. The ideal candidate must have hands-on experience in testing, pre-commissioning, and commissioning of high-voltage equipment and protection systems

Job Description

• Plan, coordinate, and execute the commissioning of 400kV substations and transmission line equipment.
• Perform functional testing, pre-commissioning, and final commissioning of electrical systems, including:
• Transformers, GIS, circuit breakers, CTs, VTs, isolators, and protection relays.
• Review and validate commissioning procedures, method statements, and checklists.
• Coordinate with design, construction, and client teams to ensure smooth integration of systems.
• Carry out protection relay settings, configuration, and testing (using Omicron, Doble, or similar equipment).
• Ensure safety, quality, and technical compliance at every stage of commissioning.
• Prepare detailed commissioning reports and handover documentation.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues during commissioning activities.

Qualification

• Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering.
• 6–8 years of experience in commissioning HV/EHV substations or transmission lines (220kV/400kV).
• Proficient in handling protection & control systems and SCADA integration.
• Strong knowledge of international standards (IEC, IEEE).
• Familiar with electrical drawings, schematics, and single-line diagrams.
• Excellent analytical and troubleshooting skills.
• Strong coordination and communication abilities.
• Should have UAE driving license
