JOB SUMMARY
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Import Clearance Manager to oversee and manage the import clearance processes for fresh vegetables and fruits. The ideal candidate will ensure the timely and efficient clearance of goods through customs while maintaining compliance with all regulatory requirements

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

• Handle the end-to-end customs clearance process for imported vegetables and fruits.
• Ensure timely submission of required documents for customs clearance.
• Liaise with customs authorities and related government agencies.
• Stay updated on import/export regulations and ensure compliance with all legal requirements.
• Maintain accurate records of customs documents and certifications, such as phytosanitary and health certificates.
• Collaborate with freight forwarders, customs brokers, and shipping agents to ensure seamless clearance processes.
• Communicate with suppliers and clients to track shipments and resolve any clearance-related issues.
• Prepare and review all necessary import documents, including bills of lading, invoices, packing lists, and permits.
• Ensure proper documentation for duty exemptions and tax benefits, where applicable.
• Generate periodic reports on shipment statuses and clearance timelines

QUALIFICATION

• Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field
• .Proven experience (5+ years) in import clearance management, preferably in the vegetables and fruits industry.
• In-depth knowledge of customs regulations, import/export procedures, and documentation requirements.
• Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills to liaise with multiple stakeholders.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet strict deadlines.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and familiarity with logistics software/tools.
